College is more than classes alone. Life outside the classroom at Anoka-Ramsey Community College is full of vitality with a variety of social, educational, and cultural events throughout the year. Listed below are the highlights of the many opportunities you have as a current student at Anoka-Ramsey.

Student Senate

Student Senate (Cambridge & Coon Rapids) is the voice for students, and, together with college administration, oversees student affairs. Student Senate appoints student representatives to college committees and advocates for student needs and concerns.

Fine Arts on Campus

Opportunities abound at Anoka-Ramsey for students in the Fine Arts. Students can even receive academic credit for these activities. The following are the current fine arts courses offered during the academic year at Anoka-Ramsey. Students can take these courses for academic credit or just for fun.

Student Publications

Anoka-Ramsey also boasts a deep culture of creative writing and publication and both campuses. Below are a few of the different literary publications that students create yearly with the support and guidance of our Creative Writing faculty.

Health & Wellness Center

The Health and Wellness Center (HWC), located on the Coon Rapids campus, provides health and fitness opportunities for students, employees, and the community.  Currently, there are no other sports facilities in the northern Minneapolis suburbs that provide the opportunities of Anoka-Ramsey’s Health and Wellness Center.

Intramural & Recreational Sports

For students who are interested in keeping active but prefer non-competitive team sports, Anoka-Ramsey also offers several intramural and recreational sport opportunities for students. PSEO students are eligible to participate in all intramurals. Complete the Intramural Interest Form if you are interested in connecting with a campus intramural team.

Intercollegiate Athletics

Anoka-Ramsey is a Division III member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and competes in Region XIII. The following sports are offered through Anoka-Ramsey. Current students who make the team (through individual tryouts specific to each team) must maintain certain enrollment and academic progress standards to maintain their athletic eligibility.
