Catalog Description This course develops students’ understanding of how to use and operate a Linux operating system. The class is for new users of the Linux operating environment and helps prepare for the CompTIA Linux+ certification exam. Major topics discussed in the course are: Linux history, the Linux desktop, resources, working with the command line, run-levels, user administration, and network configuration.
Prerequisite(s) (must have a grade of C or better): Completion of CNET 1001 or CNET 1100
