 Catalog Description
 This course is about the nature of mathematics from a problem-solving approach using sets, relations, number systems, discrete mathematics, and basic algebra. The course explores the development of problem-solving and decision-making strategies using mathematical tools from arithmetic, algebra, and geometry. Skills to communicate and explain mathematical topics are also explored.
 
 Prerequisite(s) (must have a grade of C or better): Any Goal 4 course with a MATH prefix or an appropriate score on the math placement test. Students should check with specific transfer programs for which Goal 4 course best meets their needs
