MUSC 1118 - Hip-Hop Music and Social Justice Credits: 3
Catalog Description This course provides a survey of the history of social justice through the lens of Hip-Hop music. Along with being a survey into Hip-Hop artists who have dealt with social justice issues in their work, this class will also explore how the roots and continued evolution of Hip-Hop have tied into significant cultural criticism, activism, and protest in American History.
