MUSC 1122 - Keyboard Skills for Majors II Credits: 1
Catalog Description Applies the concepts of MUSC 1126 and MUSC 1127 specifically to the keyboard. Class is one hour per week in keyboard lab developing more advanced skills in keyboard fluency: chord-based accompaniment patterns, transposition, sight reading and improvisation. The second in a two-part course sequence (with MUSC 1121 ), this course prepares music majors and minors for required piano proficiency exams in bachelor programs across the country.
Prerequisite(s) (must have a grade of C or better) or Corequisite(s): Concurrent enrollment in MUSC 1126
Recommended Skills, Abilities, or Coursework: Intended for students with prior performance experience in music, i.e., band, choir, orchestra, etc.
