Prerequisites, Co-requisites, & Recommended skills, abilities, or coursework


Below the following terms included in the course descriptions are further defined for your understanding. These items will only appear in the course description if they have been defined for the course.

A Prerequisite is a specified course or other requirement which must be successfully completed prior to enrolling for the listed course. Successful completion is defined as a grade of “C” or better. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure prerequisites are satisfied. Students found not to meet the prerequisites of a course may not continue in that course and will not receive a refund.

A Co-requisite is a course which is required to be taken during the same term.

Recommended skills, abilities, or coursework indicates a condition(s) or course completion(s) which is/are recommended to have prior to enrollment in the course with the recommendation but not necessary. These recommendations are usually are used to indicate when prior learning experience makes success in the course more attainable.
