IHH 1205 - Cross-Cultural Issues Related to Dying Credits: 3
This course provides an understanding of the healing traditions and belief systems of many cultures. Various spiritual and religious views of dying will be discussed. Other content areas include historical perspectives, gender issues, cultural traditions, and rituals, and practices used to honor patients and families. An exploration of the individual student’s attitudes toward death will enable the student to be comfortable asking the right questions of clients to support their culture and beliefs.
