ART 1139 - Flameworked Glass 1


Credits: 3

This course introduces the basic techniques involved in flameworking glass from its solid/borosilicate state. The primary concern is creative expression with a technical understanding. The purpose of this course is to give the student the experience, understanding, and technical knowledge for shaping and forming glass sculptures and vessels at the torch. A supply fee is required. Additional costs may be incurred based on individual student need. See course notes in eServices or contact the instructor for additional information. Students must be prepared to spend 6-8 hours per week in the studio outside of class.
