ART 1282 - Ceramics: Intermediate Hand-building Credits: 3
This intermediate ceramics class builds on skills covered in a beginning hand-building course. The class includes an in-depth study of contemporary hand-building methods and surface techniques in clay. The use of molds will be introduced and students will learn to fire their work in the electric kiln. A course fee is required. Students will be required to buy additional supplies that are not covered by the course fee. See course notes in eServices or contact the instructor for additional information. Students must be prepared to spend 6-8 hours per week in the studio outside of class.
Prerequisite(s) (must have a grade of C or better): ART 1281 Recommended Skills, Abilities, or Coursework: Previous ceramics experience
