BUS 1143 - Decision Making Using Excel Credits: 3
This comprehensive course focuses on using Microsoft Excel to design spreadsheets that organize, manage, and provide analysis on personal or organizational data. Students will use problem solving and critical-thinking skills to make decisions based on Excel spreadsheets. This course covers basic to advanced features in Microsoft Excel such as creating, editing, and formatting worksheets and workbooks; constructing formulas and using functions; charting data; creating Excel tables, PivotTables, and PivotCharts; conducting what-if analysis; importing data from external sources; working with other programs; and running macros. The course is taught using the current Windows version of Microsoft Excel 365. After successfully completing this course, students will have been introduced to the majority of the spreadsheet procedures found in the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Excel certification exam.
