NURS 2462 - Nursing Leadership Credits: 2
Catalog Description This course combines the theoretical principles and concepts learned in previous semesters and co-requisite coursework with a focus on conceptual connections to health care systems. Leadership theories are introduced, and health care policy, finance, and regulatory environment issues are analyzed. The course will emphasize the frameworks for providing leadership in healthcare systems that will enhance the nurse’s ability to provide holistic care across the lifespan. The student will perform in a leadership role in a variety of settings.
Prerequisite(s) (must have a grade of C or better): NURS 2360 , NURS 2362 , NURS 2390 , BIOL 1900 or BIOL 2201 , PSYC 1110 or PSYC 2235
Prerequisite(s) (must have a grade of C or better) or Corequisite(s): PHIL 1110 or PHIL 1200 , and CMST 1110 , CMST 2210 , or CMST 2220
Corequisite(s): NURS 2460 and NURS 2490
