ART 1242 - Painting II Credits: 3
Painting II introduces the student to a more complex and developed approach to painting. The course further develops the technical aspect of painting through rigorous and challenging assignments. The student will learn to manipulate experimental materials in addition to traditional painting techniques. The class emphasizes process, color, style, personal imagery, and conceptual ideas. A course fee is required; additional costs may be incurred based on individual student need. See course notes in eServices or contact the instructor for additional information. Students must be prepared to spend 6-8 hours per week in the painting studio outside of class.
Prerequisite(s) (must have a grade of C or better): ART 1241 Recommended Skills, Abilities, or Coursework: ART 1115 and ART 1141
