NURS 2490 - Health Restoration: Acute/Complex Alterations Experiential Learning Credits: 3
This course combines the theoretical principles and concepts learned in previous semesters and co-requisite coursework in the application of client care. Evidence-based practice is used to support appropriate focused assessments and management of care in clients experiencing an acute or chronic alteration in health. Emphasis is placed on understanding the lived experience of chronically ill clients and families experiencing an acute change in health status and achieving an optimal level of wellbeing. Professional standards of practice for the care of clients across the lifespan are incorporated. The student will perform in the role of a professional nurse within the health care team and engage in peer and self-evaluation.
